Our booking and cancellation policies for NoMad, Manhattan help us respect every client’s time, organize our schedule smoothly, and ensure each specialist can provide the care and attention every service deserves.

Booking, rescheduling & cancellations

Clients can book their visit to our salon in several ways:

  • by calling us at 646-612-8501
  • by messaging us on Instagram at @darlings_nyc
  • by booking online through our scheduling system

In rare cases, we may also accept walk-in clients, provided that a specialist has availability at that time.

To secure an appointment, a $50 deposit is required for each service booked. Appointments without a deposit are not considered confirmed and will be automatically removed from the booking system.

Please note that your appointment may begin up to 10 minutes after the scheduled time. While you wait, you can use our Wi-Fi, restroom, water, coffee, and tea. You can also ask the front desk for a phone charger.

We understand that plans can change. Appointments may be rescheduled free of charge if we receive at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled time. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the initial deposit will be retained by the salon.

If you cancel or reschedule an appointment less than 24 hours before the visit, the salon reserves the right to charge the full cost of the booked service. Any outstanding balance for the missed appointment must be paid in full before a new appointment can be scheduled.

If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment and do not notify the salon about a cancellation or reschedule, you will be required to pay the full cost of the missed service. Once that payment has been received, you can schedule your next appointment.

If you are more than 15 minutes late, the salon will not be able to extend the scheduled time. The duration of your booked service will be reduced by the amount of time that has passed since the original start. In this case, we may not be able to provide the full service.

If you are more than 25 minutes late, the salon reserves the right to refuse service without refunding the deposit. In that case, your appointment is marked as a no-show, and the salon will request payment for the full cost of the missed service.

Our salon provides a guarantee that is valid for 4 days from the moment the service is provided. Please note that the guarantee only applies to the following services: manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow/eyelash treatments.

If you miss a session from a prepaid service package, that session is automatically deducted from the package. Missed prepaid sessions are considered redeemed.

Please note that by purchasing a package, you agree that the package cost is non-refundable. The package is personal and cannot be gifted or resold to another person.

The safety of our clients and team is our priority. We kindly ask that you inform us in advance of any allergies, skin conditions, medications, or recent procedures prior to your appointment. Certain services (particularly laser treatments and chemical peels) may require a consultation or a patch test before a full appointment can be booked.

For most procedures performed at the salon, we also ask clients to complete and sign a consent form prior to the service. This is necessary to help ensure your safety and to allow us to take into account any individual circumstances or possible contraindications.

We reserve the right to refuse or modify a service if we believe it may pose a risk to your health or wellbeing. If you are feeling unwell on the day of your appointment, we kindly ask that you reschedule. In such cases, the usual late cancellation fee will be waived.

We may also request identification to verify your age and, for services provided to anyone under 18, require written consent from a parent or legal guardian. In certain cases, we may refuse to provide services to anyone under 18 years of age.

Service Guarantee

For manicure and pedicure services, we offer a limited complimentary guarantee for technical defects only. This section explains what may qualify for a repair, how to contact us, and when standard repair pricing applies.

Coverage

Complimentary repairs may be available for lifting, chipping, peeling, or other premature coating defects caused by product or application issues, when reported within 4 business days.

Wear Guidance

Although manicure or pedicure results may last up to 4-5 weeks, we recommend not wearing the service longer than 2-3 weeks to support nail health and maintain the cleanest finish.

What counts as a repair

A repair means correction of one damaged nail and is not considered a full repeat service.

  • Fixing a chip, lifting, or breakage of the coating
  • Restoring the damaged nail
  • Reapplying product to the affected area

What is not included

  • Cuticle care
  • Reshaping all nails
  • Filing or leveling undamaged nails
  • Color or design changes

How to qualify

  • Notify us within 4 business days from the original service
  • Send clear photos of the issue
  • Schedule and complete the repair appointment within that timeframe

When the guarantee does not apply

  • External mechanical damage
  • Improper use or lack of aftercare
  • Self-removal or self-filing
  • Work altered by another technician or salon

Booking a repair

All repair visits are by appointment only and depend on salon availability. If the issue does not qualify for a complimentary repair, standard repair pricing from the Extras menu will apply.
